By far one of the most amazing photographs I've taken while on vacation on Sullivan's Island, SC. This dragonfly has chosen a Gulf Fritillary for its meal. Edited a bit to fix up contrast and strengthen colour.
WOW. This is the kind of thing you almost never *see*. Such a sharp picture, too!
wow, well spotted, then great capture
very interesting photo, your artworks are great
Wooow this is really a cool photo! Such an interesting moment you captured here, gotta admit I'm lovin it
AMAZING. Wow this is a fantastic shot - Congrats on being in the right place at the right time and getting such a unique and amazing thing caught on film! And quite nicely done too.
Wow awesome pic! Great catch...to both of you. XD
The fact that he/she is using the stickiness of the mud to its advantage is really awesome! But if it's wings got stuck then he's in trouble!
Yep! I thought they were stuck too but as soon as I snapped the picture it took off with the butterfly in its jaws!
Doesn't look like he should be too happy about it, considering he's also got his wings stuck in the mud... eep! This really is an amazing photo though! Did he live to fly away after that, or did he stay stuck? o_o
Thanks Haha I know. Just after I took his shot he took off with the butterfly!
very nice indeed lol love the action that is taking hold in this image
they have quite a odd possition =o pretty shot tho.
